Against the Wind
Take Off Against the Wind
“When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.” (Henry Ford)
Add Resistance as a Resource
Airplanes take off against the wind so that they are able utilize it, and reduce ground speed. Pilots also choose to land in the same way in effort to reduce the amount of space required to complete the flight. Pilots look to add resistance as a resource.
Like trying to run or bike into the wind, what we are up against, might feel like an impossible wall.
What’s Going Against You Will Help you Soar
However, what if the things that seem to be going against you might be helping you to gain strength, power and resilience to help you take off in order to ultimately be able to soar perfectly with the wind? 2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us, “His power is made perfect in weakness”.
